Wallflower (2024) figured cherry veneer, mirror, shellac and wax finish / pc: Mark Juliana
Crafted from 24 identical bent-laminated parts, Wallflower captures a gracefully undulating silhouette, highlighting the inherent beauty of the wood. Its color transitions from the rich, dark heartwood on the outer portion to the light, sapwood towards the center, forming a ring around the mirror. Each part features diagonally streaked medullary rays, which come together to create a pattern that subtly draws the eyes back to the reflected person in the mirror.
Dimension: 23.5" dia. / Mirror dimension: 9.5" dia.
