The top of the Rooted Side Table resembles an ordinary side table, but it transitions downward into forms that resemble tree roots. This piece serves as a reminder that many of the things we use and consume daily originate from and ultimately return to nature.

The Rooted Side Table was created as a collaborative project through the RISD x BROWN STEAM organization. It was showcased in the group exhibition "Discover: A Conversation between Science and Art 2017.”
