The Smith Learning Theater at Teachers College Columbia University
As a part of intern cohort at Edlab, Teachers College Columbia University, I worked on creating flexible learning environment scenarios in the newly launched Smith Learning Theater, a space big enough to host up to 100 people. We were in charge from the beginning to the end with full support from Edlab design team, video production team and the library research and development team. Our tasks included planning and presenting the proposal, understanding the available electronics (lights, cameras, projectors, etc.), designing and setting up the space, executing and hosting the event and documenting from start to finish. There were four different events produced, of which the themes were: interactive library orientation, promotion of Edlab video production series, exhibition of a fictional artist and a non-verbal learning space.
